For eight months, I drove 60 miles one way to get to my job. While it provided me with real-world experience, it also provided very long work days, minimal pay, and not a lot of challenge. I figured I was paying my dues, but now I needed my dues to pay ME. With few significant results coming from other “major“ job sites, a friend suggested I turn to Dice. I immediately began receiving the calls and emails that I had been looking for. Within two weeks, I received an interview request for the job that I'm now enjoying - make that LOVING! Not only do I have a new job that is 55 miles closer, but I'm also making $15,000 more, getting better benefits, more perks, and a more challenging and faster-paced work environment. My job satisfaction is through the roof and I couldn't be happier... and I owe it all to Dice. You're the best!

Did DICE land me a job in record time? Check this out! On Wednesday, Oct. 25th I happened to get an email from DICE on a Career Coverage report for the Washington, D.C. area. I was just goofing off (having retired from IT in April 2006), I decided to search the DICE job market just to see what was going on. Saw a job posting by a local recruiting agency that matched my skill set. Having really no intention to return to IT for a while but curiosity got the better of me. I thought “what the heck” it looks like a great job and I can do that, let's see what happens. Updated the resume, applied for the job and I got a call from the recruiter on the same day. Two phone interviews later, I received the call that a job offer was ready. Total time from start to Job Offer was 2 days! DICE worked for me.

I have been working for a large healthcare company in Phoenix for almost six years. I have been given marginal raises and was behind the salary pay rate for the Phoenix Metropolitan area. I started off as the basic pc tech and have worked my way up to a network administrator – 3rd position. The last year has been boring as I have reached the technical limitations of the job. Everything is just the same old repetitive work. A new co-worker told me about Dice.com. I had my resume on Monster for almost two years and never even got a phone call. I believe I was on Dice for just over two months. I had three separate phone interviews, several head hunters and a few HR reps who have contacted me. I was offered a job from a company that searched the Dice resumes. They did not even post the position on Dice. I got a 35% raise! Needless to say that without Dice, I would be stuck in the same old boring job. My family will have it a bit easier thanks to Dice.

It was incredible. I've never believed it could happen. I posted my resume on Dice and within 2 days, I got an email from a company that was on the news that day. It was on the news because it was rated the #1 place to work for in the country. That's right, Google was calling ME!!!! Now, whether I get hired or not, I know that DICE is working hard for me which is more than a lot of other places or people are doing for me. Thanks DICE!

I had seen ads for Dice.com for some time but never availed myself of the opportunity of trying it. When I knew that I would be leaving my job in about a month, I decided why not! Within days I had non-stop recruiters hammering my land line and cell phone. All generated leads of all types resulting in interviews and various other leads. I receive at least 3-4 calls per day. Phenomenal! I eventually decided to accept an offer with a firm in the DC area which was great (the 20% raise in pay did not hurt either)! I have since recommended the site to friends, family and children. Dice.com beats Monster and ComputerJobs hands down. Thanks!

I spent my prior 8 years (before 2006) working for a great Fortune 500 company. This was and still is one of the best places to work at and they even have awards to prove it. However moving up the ladder in such a large company where nobody wants to leave was proving to be a challenge, so I made the choice to make a change in 2006. I used Dice to help me determine the availability of positions in my area that my marketable skills would apply to. In a matter of 2 months, I had located the right position with a great smaller company looking for someone with my skills. After just 1 year there, I was offered an opportunity to take on even more responsibilities and a promotion to a Director position. I miss the old company, but the opportunities that have been afforded to me for moving on are allowing me to get over this fairly quickly.

After answering an ad on Dice for a SQL Server DBA position, I was hired by Pomeroy IT Solutions, Inc. as a contractor for IBM performing production-level support for IBM’s clients. The position is one of the best jobs I've ever had: 100% telecommuting and working with a terrific team in a challenging environment that never gets boring. Add to that a 2/3 increase in salary...how does it get better than that? Answer: it doesn't :-).

I was laid off after 11 years from a previous company in NYC due to business reorganization. That propelled my job search and while using all of the major job sites, I was most satisfied with dice.com due to the speed and the accuracy of the job agents which only sent me relevant job matches. I am happy to say that I now work at a Microsoft Gold certified partner consulting company which has been intense and most enjoyable due to the amount of learning and quality of the new technical skills attained. Dice.com allowed me to save job searches as well as email potential job offers with utmost ease. I have suggested this site to many other colleagues, especially my previous employer’s employees so that they can potentially seek new employment. Even though I received about 50 calls from all the major job sites, all (3) job offers came from dice.com. Hopefully others have the same good fortune that I had with dice.com. I whole-heartedly recommend it.

Dear Dice, my success story is one for the marketers... I came to Denver, Colorado from the East Coast 3 years ago with my then-fiance to start a new life and career, far from my established network. I had just gotten my first taste of contract/consultant work prior to moving west, and thought it would be a good way to enter a leading technology market by subscribing to your service for any marketing-related contract gigs with leading tech companies. I have used your resume listing service and religiously checked your job board for marketing, communications and advertising positions (in addition to the traditional online job boards) and had success connecting with leading companies for contract work. In October, I came across a listing for a marketing manager position with a fast-growth tech company in Boulder, who ranked very highly on the Inc. 500 list this year. I got the job and found myself working in an entrepreneurial company with a great salary, bonus, benefits and perks that include a wellness allowance, telecommuting and a dog-friendly workplace. Thanks to Dice, I found a great marketing job and career stability, which is a testament to your broad appeal within the tech industry.

The first recruiter that contacted me after college had acquired my resume thru Dice. At the time of the first contact the recruiter had explained to me that my experience was not sufficient for the employer’s specifications, but wanted to get to know me just in case of future references because he was impressed with my profile thru Dice. A few months later I was contacted by that same recruiter offering me an entry-level position that would be perfect for my current career status. We set-up a face-to-face interview, and the rest was history. I have just completed 6 months of employment at Group 1 Software Inc. as a Data Quality Engineer and I couldn’t thank that recruiter more. Since Dice is recognized by IT leaders as one of the best career building sites, my opportunities just sky rocketed by just creating a profile and posting my resume. Thanks Dice!

I owe my current job to Dice.com. Within a few days of putting my resume on the site, I got many calls from recruiters. Within a couple of weeks, I had a couple of offers - I accepted an offer from a reputable consulting company. Also, the articles on dice.com about industry outlook, how to prepare your resume and how to face interviews were very informative and helpful. Thank you dice.com team for helping me in my quest for success.

I had been using Dice for quite sometime as a browsing tool to have a look at the current positions in the market. I had never unleashed the power of utilizing Dice for advancing my career. After some time I came to the point where I needed Dice to do its magic! It was amazing to see responses coming to me at the speed of light. To top it all, Dice had suggestions to improve upon my CV, which really helped me. I am completely satisfied with Dice and I have got the job I wanted with the luxury of choosing which firm to join! Thanks!

I have been searching for work for over 6 months. I found out about DICE recently, registered and began using DICE as my main job search tool. Last month, I came across a job opportunity through DICE. I applied, interviewed and landed the job! I’m working in the field I wanted and I’m making more than I expected!! I have gotten better response from DICE applications than I had from all other sites I’ve used. Thanks for the help!

I uploaded a resume on the Dice website in mid-2005. I got a few hits and had some activity. I then updated my resume in early 2006 because I decided to move to the Atlanta, GA area. Within 2 weeks, I was getting phone calls and emails. I was contacted for a great position about a month later. A few weeks later I accepted the position and moved to the Atlanta area. Thanks to Dice I was able to land a good job in a short amount of time and I moved my family to a great area. Dice is great!

Catastrophe: I was notified of an impending layoff at the company where I had worked for 11 years. I had grown very loyal to the company, which had helped me change my hobbyist's interest in IT to a viable career option. I had also just returned from taking a few weeks off for the birth of my third child, and the renewed look at my situation that comes with an event like that. Although I thought there was a pretty good chance that my position would be retained, it was not to be, as the reorganization was far more extensive than anyone could have imagined. Needless to say, I was somewhat stunned by this news. I had never been in this situation before. The company was required by law to give a 60 day notice due to the size of the layoff. I spent most of the first 45 days or so making sure that I left a clean environment. I trained the people my job was being outsourced to ensure a smooth transition. When I first turned to the job search, I was at a loss over where and how to start. A friend recommended posting my resume on Dice, and I did so later that day. I spent the next few days also posting on other sites, from monster to craigslist. Two days later, I started receiving calls and emails. The first call was from a recruiter who had gotten my resume from Dice. This was from a reputable agency, who steered me to several great opportunities, one of which became my current position. It is a better job for more money, in the same industry. It is located about a half a mile from my last job. I accepted their offer of employment within a month of separating from my old company. Although I did receive some responses from other recruiters and site postings, by far the best and most closely focused inquiries and offers came through postings on Dice.

I got my post-graduate degree in computer engineering, and knowing that the first job is always hard to come by, I accepted a consulting position on the East Coast. After 6 months, I realized that it wasn't what I wanted to be doing, and wanted a position where I would be learning more from a hands-on development position. And so I started aggressively applying to different positions, usually through company’s direct website, and then I came across Dice. I was looking for a position where I could put what I had learned in my education into real-life applications, where I could feel I was making a difference. However, with little practical experience, it was difficult finding a company that would give me a chance to prove myself. Usually when I applied to a company through their website, it would be at least a week before I got a response that my application had even been received. When I applied to my current company – IronKey via Dice, I received an email the same day, and more surprising, I got a call from their CTO the next day, despite it being a Sunday. Just the fact that they were that much on top of it, gave me my first positive impression of the company. Through a series of phone interviews, I got more excited about the position. Not only was it my ideal type of position, but the company’s main focus was in security, which is the field where my main interest lies. Despite it being an ideal position for me, it was in California - A big risk considering I had never been there. But then again, being in the computer engineering field, is there really a better place then the Silicon Valley? Within a month, I was in CA about to start my new career. Without Dice, I don't think I would have ever heard of IronKey. I would still be in my previous job searching for that opportunity that would best fit my background. Thanks to Dice, I no longer need to look.

I was downsized in 2004 from a telecommunications position I had held for seven years. Thinking that I could survive as an independent business person, I obtained my real estate salesperson and broker's license along with a mortgage loan origination license. When the real estate market experienced slow sales in 2006, I found myself desperate for income. Conducting a google search for telecom jobs, I found Dice. I registered and was contacted within one week by JobCo. I took a contractor position that was to be for approximately 3 months. While in that position, I was contacted by TekSystems who had also located a position that seemed to meet my qualifications. I interviewed and was well received. A second interview was scheduled and I was assured by the interviewer and manager that the position was mine. Anyway, for some reason that job fell through. My recruiter at TekSystems seemed to be impressed by my not taking it personally and told me that he would vigorously look for another position. Two weeks passed and he called with another opportunity for a position that may become full-time as the employee was going on maternity leave. Conflicted by my current position with JobCo, I felt it to be in my best interest to accept. I struck a deal with JobCo to continue to work on the weekends to help that project stay on schedule and began working two jobs. In the end the young lady decided not to return to work and I landed a full-time position with great benefits and a great team. Thank you for having a job resource that individuals have for reliable and respectable employment.

My wife and I decided to move as permanent resident aliens to Boston, MA. I had little hope of reviving my IT career after being out of the industry for a while. Luckily, I was able to talk to some of my IT colleagues here in the states. They said, "why not post your resume with Dice.” All of them had a similar experience and was able to land an IT job within three months. So I started updating my registration details and resume on dice, within a week I received a call from Robert Half Technology, one of the leading IT consulting firms. At first I couldn't believe it and I even joked with the recruiter if they were for real. I interviewed and submitted all my legal identification requirements. Now I am working as an IT Consultant for RHT, an adventurous job for any IT specialist and Professional.

My job at the time was going nowhere and I was just maintaining the status quo. The pay wasn’t good and I didn’t receive a raise despite having stellar reviews. I had absolutely no motivation to stay with my current job and company. I had been there for five years as a jack of all trades (i.e. Network, Server, Workstations). I had learned a lot, but I was ready to move on.

I ran into a Dice ad from my frequent visits to Slashdot and thought that it could not hurt to post my resume there as well. I was posted on all the other major sites, so it seemed very appealing to post on a lesser known site that advertised with Slashdot. Hey if it’s on Slashdot, it can’t possibly be bad.

A recruiter ran across the posting and called me two days after I had posted my resume. I was astonished at the turnaround. She told me that she had a major opportunity with a start-up hedge fund and that I was the first person that she had contacted. The next day I went in for an interview and two weeks later, I was contracted.

Two months later, I’m a joyful full-time employee with full benefits. The money I was offered and the equipment I’m now working on has pushed me to the edge of my ability – doing exactly what I want to be doing: networking with Cisco stuff. It has been a wild ride and the benefits I received for just posting my resume on Dice have been more than I could have dreamed.

Thanks Dice,

Very simply... I put my resume on Dice and a few days later a headhunter called me with a contract. I’m now finishing the contract and I have been very happy with it. I currently have my resume listed on Dice because I’m setting up jobs for the future when my current contract expires. I am contacted by at least two headhunters every day.

There is only one way to find a job. Just put your resume on Dice and sit back and wait for the headhunters or HR departments to call.

Stick with Dice and you will find work.

In August 2005, I submitted my resume and cover letter to a local Denver engineering company who used Dice as a source for their placement needs. Within four hours, I was contacted by the HR department for an interview and within three weeks I had been hired as a Sr. Sales Engineer. I see this job as the one I will have for the rest of my career!

Well my story of Dice is an amazing one! After several weeks of minimal response from Monster, Yahoo and CareerBuilder, I hit the "mother load" with Dice. In only three days, I had four valid offers – all exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and salary!

I felt that I had tapped into many higher-level HR and recruiting contacts as well because of the immediate response when I made any changes. I would highly recommend Dice in the future and have done so for several of my friends.

Thank you so much!

I had just found out that I would be taking a cut in pay and benefits at my current position. I put my resume on Dice that very day, and within one week I had four interviews.

A phone interview on Friday, a follow-up interview on Tuesday, a face-to-face interview on Wednesday, and an offer of employment on the following Friday! In one week – from phone interview to offer of employment!

Not only did my Dice profile provide exposure to many employers, but it extracted my skills in a way I had not thought of before. This experience allowed me to get a job that molded all of my work experience into a perfect position. I’m now learning more than I had ever imagined. I work with a great group of people, I have a potential for advancement and I’ll get to further my skills via training.

This experience was the ultimate job search.

I had been looking for an IT security position for nearly six months using other online career sources such as Monster, CareerBuilder and Yahoo! HotJobs. I had absolutely no success and the prospects for landing another job appeared bleak.

I was then told by a friend about Dice. I went to the website, posted my resume and began looking for jobs. Within two weeks of utilizing Dice, I landed a great long-term contract position located outside of Chicago, IL. Additionally, my salary increased by $25K from my previous job.

Thank you Dice for assisting me in landing this wonderful opportunity!

I was deep in the IT pigeon hole – promised a management position that didn’t appear to be coming through and I had enough of the belligerent, IT bully (boss). I put my resume back on Dice and within two weeks, I had a sweet little temp gig paying $52 an hour! Twice what I was making in the pigeon hole!

I worked for three months at that gig while I searched for other work. The tech recruiter that got me the gig routinely cruises Dice for his prospects. Dice has a great reputation and it brightened my whole outlook while getting me out of the pigeon hole.

When I first set up an account with Dice, I had no initial success. I was thinking that nothing would ever come of this attempt to better my future and success in the technology industry. And then after a few weeks of numerous submissions and no replies, the flood gates began to open. It was like a dam of opportunities broke and the offers were flowing in at an unbelievable rate.

I went on a number of interviews for prospective job opportunities and actually landed in a position where I could choose my own destiny! I got a sales position at a great MSSP and ISP just east of Cleveland, OH and I couldn’t be happier!

The overall experience of using Dice amazed me. I have told many people that I know in the industry and I can only hope they have the same experience that I did! Now when I go to the office, I am energized and happy to start the day. I would and do say that Dice was a life-changing experience for the best!

I was looking on Dice for about three months. I’d had it with my previous job because of a major revamping of our IT department and they were getting rid of my position. So I went on Dice and within a couple of months, I was getting offers left and right. I accepted a position that allowed me to grow and travel.

Thanks Dice!

I was working for a company that barely covered my expenses. Finally, I got fed up and quit. I took some computer certifications and eight months later, I started looking for a job. The first site I went to was Monster. I didn’t even get a reply. Later, I was told that SO many people apply for a single job on Monster that it’s almost impossible to get a call back.

Next I tried CareerBuilder – big mistake. It was really more of a hassle to use. I felt like my new job was trying to figure out how to send a resume out on that site.

Next I hit Dice. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner. The layout was clean and simple. It was extremely easy to send out my resume and in the past three weeks, I have been on more then two dozen interviews! I was actually turning jobs down! It was a great feeling and a first for me.

As of right now, I found a job with a really great company (which I found on Dice) making $55K to start! Three weeks on Dice and I found exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks Dice.

I was amazed at how many jobs were available on Dice. Within an hour of posting my resume, I started receiving calls. One day I came back from a meeting and had nine voice mails on my cell phone – all from recruiters for jobs in my area! I joked with friends that it was almost a full-time job to keep track of all of the interest I was getting from potential employers.

Having this many employers to choose from allowed me to be picky. I had about 15 interviews overall, some in person and some over the phone. I received many offers and I turned many down. I felt confident turning down the offers because I knew that Dice would have a lot more jobs for me to choose from.

I’ve been at the new company for two months now and everything is great. I have been recommending Dice to my friends who are looking to change jobs.

I was dreading finding a new contract in December. What a tough time to look when everyone is at the end of their budgets. On a Sunday, I refreshed my Dice profile with my latest contracts and current experience levels. By Monday afternoon, I had two offers – both at my asking rate!

I hadn’t even made any calls yet! I ended up accepting the job closest to home and the most technically challenging. I’ve been a Dice member since the early 90’s and have landed many of my choicest contracts through your job board.

Thanks!

After working for over 27 years, I was laid off as a VP of a small software company. I immediately put a plan together which included setting up my resume and utilizing search agents on Dice. After a few days of set-up and searches, I added daily goals of responding to job listings each from Dice’s JobAlerts to connect with old colleagues and other options. I used Dice’s search agent feature to create two different JobAlerts, one for contractor positions and one for permanent employment positions.

Literally within three weeks of being unemployed, I received two job offers and was on my way to two more. I accepted a contractor position that came from a Dice lead and within two months, I was hired into a permanent position within the company. The opportunity came through because the contract recruiter found my resume on Dice.

A final side note: a good friend of mine in Southern California had been looking for employment for months, transitioning from another field and I happened to do some searches for him using Dice. I found a position for him in which he interviewed and began employment within weeks.

I have been referring friends to Dice for years and fortunately when I needed it these words of wisdom, they came through for me.

Frustrated that my talents weren’t being utilized, I signed with Dice. I got contacted an hour later. One week later I had gone on three interviews.

I actually decided to stay at my current employer. I didn’t leverage any offers for a raise because I feel I’m paid well for what I do, but I did get the courage to approach my manager on what I was looking for, as far as job satisfaction and growth in responsibilities.

It’s an unbelievable feeling to know I’m not trapped where I’m at, thanks to Dice. I know when I’m ready to leave, I can and I don’t have to take a pay cut or relocate my budding family.

I put my resume on Monster, CareerBuilder as well as other sites. I was getting no response from the jobs I applied for on Monster and CareerBuilder. I only got interviews through friends and contacts I had.

As soon as I put my resume on Dice, I started getting a lot of calls from recruiters. One, in particular, set me up with interviews and I still keep in touch with that recruiter because of the changing job market. They keep me in mind and call me periodically to see how things are going and to see if I’m in the market again.

I recommend people put their resume on Dice for sure!

As a rule, I always keep my resume up-to-date on Dice and follow up with every inquiry I receive. Two years ago, I received an inquiry for an IT principal QA automation engineer at bank in Newport Beach, CA, that was perfect match.

The salary I negotiated was a 35% raise! It enabled me to purchase a four bedroom home with a pool in Oceanside, CA which over the past two years has risen in value 25%. In addition, I was able to recruit two excellent colleagues to work with me in the QA department and we have done groundbreaking automation work her.

I am a former network security engineer enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. I served active duty for the past nine years and was swiftly approaching my separation date. I had only a few weeks left to decide if I was going to re-enlist or leave the service all together when my supervisor upset me so much that she made the decision easy for me. I knew right then and there that I had to find a civilian job – and fast.

I immediately logged onto Dice and applied for about 10 jobs that very night. The next day I received an e-mail from one of the companies with whom I had applied and they set up a technical interview with me. Within four business days of applying on Dice, I had already signed an official offer letter and was well on my way to a new life as a civilian.

Currently, I possess the exact same job title as before but for a private consulting company who is paying me almost 50% more salary! My job satisfaction went from extremely low to extremely high, almost instantly.

I want to thank Dice for FREELY providing the public an outstanding website. Dice is fast and easy to use. It was instrumental in launching my career and nearly doubling my annual earnings! I highly recommend Dice to all of my friends and I am glad that I don’t have to give you a percentage of my paycheck as a finder’s fee.

Sincerely,
J. Tannehill

I got three job offers in 2005. I had to choose one though.

Back in 2004, I was a Project Manager who traveled 100% of the time, but there was a period when I was on the bench as I call it. Some people call it the beach, but those are ones in the inland states of the U.S.

Then, in late December 2004, my wife found out she was pregnant. During my FMLA, I used Dice and got four interview calls in three weeks. I chose to interview with three of them and got all three jobs in the process.

This, my friend, is a true story and I am today a non-traveling architect and manager with a 25-minute commute and no frequent flyer miles – but I’m getting frequent smiles from the baby.

How bleak was it? It was so bleak…..okay enough of the comedy, because what happened to me on the afternoon of October 21, 2003 was far from being funny or a laughing matter. My contract, which was suppose to last through February 2004, had abruptly come to an end.

After I had met my account manager to turn in my badge, I went home that evening wondering what to do – well, for about 5 minutes, anyway!

Knowing that finding a new job when you are out of work IS job #1, I went to the dice.com site and looked at all the jobs posted for AS400/RPG programmer analyst. To my amazement, there was one position I thought I could fill in a part of the country where I wanted to be (Portland, Oregon).

After speaking with the recruiter listed, I sent my resume and references and three hours after loosing my contract, the recruiter called back with a job interview set up for the following evening.

The interview went well and the very next day, I was offered the job!

Dice, thanks for having the position posted, I went from being out of work to being employed in two short days!

I will always use Dice as part of my job search from now on and will refer friends to it.

Best regards,
K. Vorheis

It was all about timing as 2003 illustrated….

The company I was working for in 2002 was closing its doors (as many dot-comers did), and with a newborn baby having just arrived, and mine being the sole income of the household, a new job was not only “important”, it was life or death. While my staff at my closing company investigated more traditional hands on DBA work, I quickly landed a short-term “mentoring” contract using Dice daily email notifications. Apparently the senior DBA at the hiring company had just left and they needed a senior level replacement with advanced knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server.

My former company closed its doors on Jan. 16th and I started my new position on Jan. 8th. The timing was perfect.

My new contract was suppose to be for four months, but it only lasted two due to company office consolidations.

I hit the phones and checked the Dice job alerts once again. I landed a job interview for a Senior Powerbuilder Software Development position on the Friday that my contract ended. I prayed I would land the position since it was the only iron in the fire. The recruiter actually called me on my cell phone while I drove home from the interview and asked if I would be able to start the following Monday, which I did. It turns out their previous contractor had worked on the project for several years without success and they were looking for a replacement ASAP. It was all about timing, once again.

Currently, jobs seem to be slowly coming back into existence and I can only pray that 2004 will provide the same fortunes.

Thank you Dice and God Bless,
S. Thompson

In July of 2003, I was in dire need of a job. I had gotten laid off in March and the only work I could find was through a friend – it didn’t pay much, and I had to commute an hour to get there. So in June, I began looking to online classifieds. Near the end of June I stumbled upon Dice.com and realized that it was the perfect place to find tech jobs. I posted my resume and searched through a few listings. About three days later, I received a phone call from a recruiter about a full-time position 15 minutes away from my house. The pay was much more than the job I had been laid off from and the recruiter was very interested in my experience. I interviewed two days later. The president of the company was away on a vacation at the time, but that night I received a phone call from the president from his vacation home in Block Island. I was instantly hired. Now I’ve been working for almost 6 months as a Senior Software Architect in Stamford, CT. This was the ideal job for me and I would not be here today if not for Dice.com.

I recently landed a position working as a Senior Network Engineer for a Global Network Integration Company. It was extremely easy with Dice.com. Basically I mailed my resume to my current employer, they called me back within 2 weeks and I went on just one interview and that was it. I took the job in Miami, moved from New York and escaped the dreadful winter and snowstorms. I consider myself extremely lucky to be here.

Thanks you so much DICE.com. I don’t know how I would have looked for jobs without DICE.

In 2003, I obtained a great contract job via Dice.com and worked from Feb.-Aug. of 2003. Due to this connection, another company heard of me and pursued me and hired me full-time. If it were not for Dice, I never would have had the opportunity and visibility! Better than posting a resume, get a contract job, show your stuff and Get a Great Offer when everyone hears about how well you did the contract job!

Thanks Dice.com!

I found a great job and advanced my career through DICE.com…

I am a Network Engineer by training. I enjoyed extensive traveling with my previous job with a major telecommunications company for almost 3 years until the telecom bubble burst finally hit home. After evading several rounds of layoffs at my company, I finally received that call that every employee would dread…

I was offered an opportunity to relocate to another city 300 miles away to keep my job or risk being laid off. I chose to stay and eventually received my pink slip.

Being sent home, stripped of my engineering salary, company expense account and traveling benefits, I was almost broken. I had recently bought a new house in the real estate boom and was enjoying a low interest rate with a sizable mortgage.

I collected my resources (i.e. networking contacts, past co-workers, etc.) and began to hit the bricks and the internet. Fortunately, my search did not last for long. I set-up a Dice.com search agent that emailed me a position that seemed untrue. In the 50+ list of potential matches, I found a job title that described EXACTLY what I did in my previous position.

I called the consulting company that was offering the position to see if I was dreaming. The position was brand new and I was the 1st potential match! The consulting company hit the phones immediately to inform the employer that they have found a good match. I was the 1st person to interview and was offered the job one week later!

In a time of layoffs, financial uncertainty and extreme burden on unemployment, my total time for unemployment was 2 weeks!! In telecom, I believe that to be a record somewhere… I never collected 1 unemployment check and my new position paid very close to my last.

Thank you Dice.com,
